I've seen different phone mount optiions for MINIs (i.e. Moss Mini and also "Kuda" on ebay). Any other recommendation? Better yet, for those with phone mount, please post photos and share your opinion! Happy motoring!

If you're a member of the MINI Owner's Lounge, I've postged pix of a retractable hands-free mount I found from BodyGlove. My previous hand-free cord was cut by the passenger seat sliding forward and back so the retractable cord was very appealing to me. It also sets the phone out just a bit more than my old holder which mitigates the phone rubbing on the downtube. I love it! I'm including a pic of the final shot.

I purchased the OEM Mini phone holder from http://www.newministuff.co.uk/new_mini_phone_kits.htm. It replaces the downtube in the mini and works great. It is not obtrusive and retains the look of the mini. It also solicits a lot of comments. It is expensive, but in my opinion worth it, since most of the holders wreck up the look of the interior. It was extremely easy to install.

Cool website!

Will it obstruct the new cup holder that're mounted on the tube?

Could you elaborate on the ebay reference? I don't think I've seen that one...

It looks almost the same as the ones from Moss.

>>Nice install! How is it mounted on the dash, tape or screw?

It mounts with a very thin piece of double sided tape, not like those thick ones. The base, pictured below, conforms nicely to the dash. The retractable piece then snaps onto the base and off if you want to put it on your hip when you leave the car. Again, there are more pix on the MINI Owner's Lounge under Fries.

I've posted this before, but this is the Motorolla Mount (with mic and speaker) mounted on a proclip. I works great, especially with the voice dialing feature on my phone.

Pictured above, the phone is open and looks pretty big, but the cradle also allows the phone to be closed while using it.

I can. It is actually KUDA. See here: www.kuda-phonebase.de/ I used one for 4 years in my former VW Jetta. It is a quality product that works very well. Finding a retailer was the hardest part for me.
