just picked up my mini yesterday. it was great to see her (yet unnamed) and drove her home eventhough it was snowing.

i was just wondering if anyone know how to replace the light bulbs on the wheel well. the book makes no mention of how to replace it except "consult your dealer." another thing, i like so many on this board want to blackout the housing. but i want to go further and replace with the wheel well on the european mini. does anyone know it is possible and where can i get the set of four.

special note to cdt-germany:i am willing to pay a finder fee if you can buy them for me since you are in germany. email me. thanks

ok, if you take off your wheel, and then take off the plastic cover, you will see 2 slip nut covers where the marker is, use a 10mm wrench or socket, and remove those 2, the lights should then come out. We had to use some force to get them out, but just wiggle it a little bit and it should come free. To be honest, i don't know what size the bulb is, but it should be able to be removed and replaced.

Now, if you want to do euro with no side markers, you have to replace the entire front and rear bumper, no other way around it.

Hope this answers your questions.
