So I got my Euro Parcel Tray from Out Motoring yesterday, and it now has a small removable panel on the left side. I'm wondering whether this is designed for the Aux input kit. It seems to be about the right size. Anybody know about this?

It's for the optional grille-mounted driving lights, there should be a cap in the kit if you're not using them.

Yup, there is. Too bad it's not for the Aux jack. Oh well.

I was thinking that the little opening would be perfect for a garage door opener mod.

There are several options. As you look at your euro parcel shelf, on the far right you can add an Aux jack plug which others have done and posted about (just search for aux jack install) or on the far left you can use this small rectangular plate as a location for various switches or toggle control. It's up to you, just bring the wires over to the left and install the control into the blank plate then snap it in place. Be creative and have fun.

You can easily install the Aux jack in that little space provided for the switch. Just mount it to the blank cover and snap it in place. The Aux jack cable is long enough to reach, in fact, it's nearly 4 feet long. I did an entire how-to thread on installing the Aux jack in the parcel shelf.
