Here it is without the scuttles and the roof chopped. I added a little bit of "patina" too

Looks like it would have to be just a cooper, cause you cant get any 16" steel rims with the right stud pattern and offset. Then it would be just a matter of getting caps and whitewalls.
I actually think the cooper grill and hood would suit it better anyway. Anyone want to step up? I know a place in L.A. that could do the Matt black wrap for a pretty decent price...

This loooks fantastic. Wish I had a photoshop program.

I was thinking of doing a skuttle delete with my old A panels ( in storage ) and having my scoop blended in with the hood same time and painted.......

I think it would actually look good to fill the scoop opening so it's more of a "power bulge". Wouldn't be that hard for a decent panel beater to do either...

what a trip. I know this is an old thread but last night I was wondering what mine would look like slammed pretty low with sidepipes, whitewalls on smoothies and a 2in chop so I made this. Then I was looking around for any sidepipes that would work and I came across this. Kind of similar eh? I might just do it. (The chop would be way too much trouble though.)

Heres a before and after.

Needs some patina. Like this...

Brand new truck. All done with vinyl and PlastiDip!

On second thought, maybe too much patine for a MINI but looks (and feels) amazing on a truck...

A friend of mine created this process by the way.

Looks nice I’m just not a fan of patina on anything except rat rods.

Resurrecting a very old thread.....but I've just packaged my R55 off to a local wrap company to do an homage to your design (cost and UK legislation and wheel offsets means it's not a complete replica &#128514
The wheels were by the far the hardest to sort...

Should be back in a week, so I'll provide an update when I can.

I found this image a few years ago and saved it

Love the look of the wheels and tires on your image. The red adds a lot.

Marmite or Jelly and ice cream

Hi all,
as promised, this is my car... inspired by the OP Photoshop image with a few compromises for cost and legality.
I love it others might not.
The wheels are sitting a bit "bigger" than I had originally hoped. I'm going to take some time to see if I acclimatise...if not they may appear on an auction site near you 😂🤣

Now that is way cool. It would look even more fantastic, and even more authentic, with lake pipes, a la the 50s.

Yeah, I was going to wait to see what height the car was riding before adding something like that....
