IMO, I think they look gaudy but it's your MINI. Depending on the look your trying to achieve, choose the right color. If I had to choose, it would be the PC Black.

They can look good on the right MINI --

Very similar to the M7 grilles but less expensive.

I agree stainless. I don't like the look of the old grill behind the new one. Bound to be easier to clean than the plastic grills!

IMO, it looks marginally better than the chicken wire grills that people put on 18 year-old Honda Civics... except they spend $20 and these cost $500.

Again, it's your car... that's just my opinion.

This brand looks better than the other as the plastic grill is removed.

The front trim really needs to be blacked out or body color though. The contrast with the lower not with a bright trim does not work for me.

I'd want to see one in person before forming a concrete opinion, but generally speaking it's nice to see another option out there for grilles. I was really surprised when I first started looking at the lack of aftermarket grilles for the MINI. The more the merrier.

I wonder how the "black chrome" compares to the hyper black color wheels Rota has available...

I wanted the ss Race Mesh or M7 Grill for my Clubman S but didn't like the price. I found a website that sells the SS Mesh and the edging materal for a fraction of the cost. http://www.customcargrills.com/products.asp?id=46 . I beleive i paid around $120 total. You need to make a template of your current grill and use a drimmel to cut. One sheet will do both top and bottom with plenty left over the hood scoop if you want. I'll try to post pictures later this week.
