Boot Auto Up?

Is there any way to make the boot automatically open all the way up? I have been searching and can't find anything! I want to be able to hit a button and it slowly rises! Any help would be great! Thanks!

That would be a custom job by a shop that specialized is actuators.

We are talking Big $$,$$$

IMO It would be very cool but not really cost effective unless you have a show car and work for Alpine with unlimited funds and a team of custom builders. The parts and labor, wiring, “the Brain”, and extra remotes that needed to be programmed are going to be VERY expensive for a one off job.

But anything can be done if you are willing to pay out the nose or have the above resources.

Also the actuators may need to be custom built / made to fit where your stock hatch lifts (mini shocks) are mounted now. They will also need to be very strong actuators because you would need them to lift the very heavy boot hatch from closed to fully open.

You would only need actuators to open the boot up to the point where the hydraulic (stock) actuators kick in, or get stronger hydraulic actuators that will open the boot after you release the hatch, but that would be sketchy to close.

Chili is right, it's not gonna be cheap, and if you do it yourself, not easy.

That sucks! I was hoping I could just like buy an electric actuator or something and throw it in. That would be awesome though! Maybe I'll ask around and see if anyone knows anything about that down here. I would love to hit a button and the boot opens so you can see my subs with the LED's.

Chrysler has that feature on their minivans. You might start there. I don't know how it works.
