Yep, i've been checking every other day, no pic's nothing, you would think "or at least I do" that with the interest someone would try and get these to market ASAP, and keep the cost within reason.

I guess I've waited this long

I have also begun a cowl design, but another issue must also be addessed if the cowl is to be functional as well as attractive. The exisiting box just below the vent opening does not lead directly to the intake, it leads to a box. I am sure why this is so, but have been tempted to simply take out a 3" hole saw, and make a breather hole in the box directly in front of my BMP intake. I'm sure there was a reason not to feed the vent directly to the intake, but the answer continues to elude me.

Just a guess, but the reason for Mini not channeling the air from the scoops directly to the intake may be a water/dust issue, hence the spongy screen used on the scoops. Alta intake removes the box altogether, but there's not much to worry about with what the size of the sponge filter is.

There is a panel that is held in with screws that can be removed---This is the way to mount an Alta

I have not, would like to, but those scoops were suppose to be on their site long ago. From looking at posts over the past few months if anyone had some that were less than those from cc-b for 99, they would have sold alot.

I've spoke to randy he is working on some, but he has lots of projects going on and I know there are many others who can develop a low cost scoop, that may have some functionality. I dont want to spend 99, this is should be a low cost
item that they can make money on the quantity sold.

I'll keep checking, some day I will have my scoops..

I've got a pair of the Orciali scooprs from CC-B..$99 was a lot better than the $139 I've seen them sold for on other sites. The fit is pretty good..but they dont quite lay flat in the bottom of the vent edge. I have still yet to get the painted but I have test fit and driven a couple of hundered miles with them on so far. Cant say they are doing anything for the car..but hey..they look good.

I agree that this would be a popular item if the cost was more reasonable.

I'll believe it when I see it. This has been a long and unfair wait. Not a good way to do business. Especially as a sponsor.
