Front Bumper?

I recently got my mini back from a mechanic fixing my clutch and i noticed that my bumper is not on correctly, the guy says that's how it was when we took it in which is total crap. but i was wondering how hard is it to take it off and fix it myself. is it something i could do or should i take it somewhere else and have someone else do it for me? If it is easy enough for me to do it myself, does anyone have any kind of intructions on how to do it? That way it gives me less chance of possibly messing something up. I have an 03 r50 cooper if that makes any difference to the removal process.

You only need to study pictures 1 through 19.

There is an area where there is something like a plastic spring mechanism I believe in the location where the screwdriver is in picture #4. This allows you to adjust the bumper up and down slightly to ensure that the gap between it and the hood are straight/even.

Also, make sure that on the upper front edge of the bumper, the tabs (seen in pictures 14&15) are properly attached. If I remember properly, re-attachment requires you to come in from below with the top edge/tabs tilted slightly towards the car, and you sort of roll the bumper into place...

Good Luck!
