New Boot Latch

I'm not a huge chrome hater but I can't stand the chrome boot latch on my PW Justa. I want a body colored one like an S, so my question is:

Anyone know how much for a S boot latch? And will an S boot latch fit my Justa?

Should I just take mine off and have it painted by the dealer?

Thanks, just trying to figure out the best way to accomplish this.

This is totally off topic, but I see it every where and have no idea what it means. What is a Justa?

I guess it would fit but do not quote me on that. I would have it painted.

MDL8440, a Justa is a non S mini cooper.

A MINI Cooper with a turbo is an "S". A MINI without a turbo is justa Cooper... (You can go in the closet to blush).

You can see an estimate of the pricing on RealOEM.com . It should fit between the models but I would check with the dealer first. I think an entire boot handle is around $190 w/paint. I had chrome on mine and just painted it myself. Looks great and cost me $4.00

Thanks as always for the quick answers. I know painting it myself would be so much cheaper, but I've never done any type of painting before and don't want to just wing it and hope it turns out OK.

Spraying it would be better than winging it. Feathers may leave marks in the paint.
