Is there a DIY Guide to remove and re-install Bumpers/side skirts on the R56?
What's up guys?
I'm getting the JCW aero kit next monday and should have it painted by Wednesday or Thursday. The shop is charing me a minimum of $350 on labor for removing the bumper/side skirts and putting on the new one (after paint)... although i think is a good price, I rather save me the money. I've removed the front bumper in my infiniti and a ford mustang so I dont mind giving this a try except is alot easier when you know where to look for the clips/bolts
If anyone has some type of guide that can help me make this job easier I would really appreciat it!

No, put tape on the outside of the skirt to mark where the clips are. Also, do not pound the clips in with the back of your hand. The clips break really easy.
Attached is a pic I took to what I'm talking about.
Other than that, it's pretty self explanitory. Only problems I had installing were getting the expanding clips out of the side arches that attached to the front bumper. They were just a pain because they didn't want to back out/ The only other problem I had was with the rear bumper alignment. You have to reuse the metal bracket from the other bumper. Some reason it made the bumper bulge up in the middle so I had take the plastic piece that the metal piece sat in and dremel it so that the metal piece would sit farther down.

I have the same problem and could use the instructions. Oxy - maybe figuring out a way to post/link what ya' got? And ditto - I'd like to get a pm of the info too.

Not exactly a DIY, but here is my write up from when I had to pull my bumper cover off. Maybe something in there will help you out.
