Wheels offset

Anyone has 17 x 7.5 ET35 wheels on their r56? Any rubbing? Or more advisable to go with ET40?? Thanks

If you are afraid of the tire rubbing on the shocks then you need ET35. If you are rubbing the outside wheelwell, then ET40 is better.

Take a look at this: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

For what it's worth, I ran 17x7.5 ET35 with 215/45-17 tires and had rubbing issues front and rear on stock suspension. If you're willing to adjust the camber, you may avoid the issue- but it was enough of a problem that I nixed the setup and moved on to a more conservative setup (17x7 ET40 with 205/45/17- call it an overreaction if you will, but it works great).

ah amn. I really really wanted these wheels, but the car will be dropped at least 55mm so if you rubbed with stock suspension i have no chance!

Very nice web site. They actually have the wheel weights listed. Some very tempting 16 x 7 wheels. I don't know the brands so I need to check on them. If the 205's I plan don't cut it, then I will need some 7 inch rims to go 215's.

My car is super low and I have no rubbing issues with 17x7.5 et35's. There are a bunch of us running similar specs without rubbing. Just need to be careful with tire selection.

7.5j et35 is very conservative. Don't worry yourself too much over it.

Run 205/40/17 on the 17x8's and you'll be golden.
