Can someone recommend a nice front bumper?

So... I'm bored with the front bumper for my purple-haze 2005 MCS Cabrio. The upgraded sport bumper (JCW I think?) on the new MINI model is really quite nice - sporty with an integrated front spoiler-type look, without being "kit kar" annoying if you know what I mean.

Can anyone recommend a nice front bumper replacement kit? I don't want to go Aero - they're nice enough but too many other people have them. Likewise, I don't want something that I'll have to pay $3000 for to ship from Japan or Germany, or that's annoyingly flashy. Front bumper kits with larger/better defined fog lights are a plus, as are kits which install well (read as: don't have to be extensively drilled/modified/trimmed/rebuilt simply to fit).

Surely SOMEONE must have an idea.... Anyone?

Just keep the stock bumper and put a splitter on it.

I have a splitter already... I take it off in the winter, lest some errant snowbank rip it form the car. I want something DIFFERENT.

Googling "Luma MINI front bumper" as we speak...

EDIT: Nothing under "Luma" - do you mean Lumma? This one?

I haven't seen that Lumma front bumper before but that looks good. Anybody have any links or suggestions on where to buy it, pricing?

I was wondering the same thing. I see announcements for a full body kit, but no links as to where to buy just the front bumper...

http://www.body-kit.co.uk/product.ph...ginal-fogs-grp

and sorry, yes, i meant lumma
*edit* just noticed they only ship to the UK. If you contact lumma directly they maybe able to ship it to you?... they do have an online store on there site as well as ordering contact information.
also, i just realized, that body kit is for the r50, not r53. of our bumpers are interchangeable, it should work just fine though.

Thanks so much - I sent them a mail. Hopefully they ship to the USA, and the cost isn't too dear.

The Lumma ones is a bit crude - it is very flat and not nice from 3/4 angles. Best ones are Japanese - Bond or Garbino but expect to pay $$$$$$ (I have the Bond one BTW )

I've never seen a Japanese one that wasn't too extreme for me. Remember - I only want to replace the front bumper and NOT the side rails or rear, nor am I planning on painting the black plastic trim, so I want it to look like a slightly amped-up stock bumper if possible. By this criteria, the Lumma is actually pretty good-looking to me. I particularly like the black recesses surrounding the (still stock) fogs, but since my car is Purple Haze, I know they won't be as prominent.

Thanks!

EStrictlyForeign.com is the exclusive dealer Lumma Design from what I understand. Here is the link to the front bumper, and you will have to paint the side arch on the bumper, but MINI makes a paint to match. You cant go wrong with any of these if you want to stay off the rice...

Try these....or get a GP bumper. I wish I were in the market. I'd bet most everything but OEM is going to be in FRP.
