To stripe or not to stripe

I have 2 ideas for striping my 09 Lightning Blue/Black R56. Well 3, if NOT striping is a consideration. One is some sort of shadow stripe. I have no idea if it is even possible to do shadow stripes without painting them. Painting them seems to be way to involved / expensive.

I have also been thinking of pinstriping. I am not sure if the shape of a MINI lends itself to pinstriping, so I have been looking for pictures. The only pinstripes I have seen are right next to racing stripes, used sort of like a highlight.

Does anyone have any pictures of a pinstriped MINI not related to racing stripes? I would love to get some ideas, as well as an idea what color pinstripe to use. I am thinking of a red stripe (real thin, and not to bright. Subtle.) to pick up a couple of red accents already there (the red S), but if I had to rely on MY artistic talent I would be in REAL trouble! Maybe black would work better, and not be to flashy.

Any ideas? Photos?

look around for your local hot rod club or their magazine. find and talk to a professional pinstripe guy. they'll work with you to get exactly what YOU want and the will paint on one of a kind stripes (don't do tape PLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEE)

It won't cost terrible (well, it doesn't around here anyway)
