I have had one for about a year. It holds my gas receipts very well. I can not remember if I got it off their web site or eBay, though. I believe it was less than $105.

2008 Mini Cooper S armrest

I bought this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...56071587270530

it was fairly easy to install and works great for me. I am 6 foot tall.

This seems like the best deal out there on armrests...

I have the same armrest the OP linked to. I love it, however, the base can be a little flimsy. If you put too much pressure on it side to side (lets say when getting in or out of the car or something like that) you can cause a stress crack on the edge of the base (I found out the hard way). Other than that and a drop of crazy glue, it's been great with more than enough storage.

Here it is on eBay for less $$

Ive got one in my 09.. had it for a while now. Still really enjoy all the storage and its held up nicely. I agree w/ LongBeach...not one to really lean on, but does well with the arm.

Just got mine in last week; going out 2 install it now! Woo-hoo!

Finally got mine installed 2day--had 2 get a cordless drill--it was easy 2 do and, like MiniChan said, those little covers were a pain. I got 3 of 'em on, and the 4th 1 decided it didn't wanna cooper8 w/the other 3, and hid somewhere from me. It's still there, and I took a good 15 minutes looking 4 it; finally gave up. But, I do like having the extra storage and can keep my doorwells pretty much in order.

Got the product a few weeks ago, love it so far! Great price, good quality and very easy to install. I recommend it to anybody that needs an armrest.

I installed the armrest, but those tiny covers for the screws didn't fit so good, so I don't have any covers. But I still like the armrest. Great compartment size.

For all those that bought this armest does it interfere with shifting? Do you think it could be attached with 3M trim tape? Any problems with it now that you've had it for awhile?
Thanks!

Shifting, yes a little. Kind of have to do more wrist flicking.

3M tape?... you could try it... Its not really an armrest to put more than your arms weight on anyway so if its strong it should work... You could always screw it later
