Preporation of the surface area is key. And the better job you do with the ends the less chance you have of it peeling off.

I've had mine on for about a year now, with no problems. Don't forget to peel off the clear strip on the outside!

Another tip is do not stretch the tape as it is being applied. You will find a gap if you do. Take your time and your results will impress you.
