on my way to the Dragon a couple of weeks ago an eighteen wheeler kicked up a piece of steel into the passenger side quarter panel on the highway
so i getting that fixed
and painting my interkooler hood scoop black
also i need an opinion on this:
so I need to make this decision today
the front grille,,,,,should i
a) install the areo grille (black mesh)
b) paint the existing “S” grille black
c) leave the dark silver “S” black

I look forward to hearing your opinions today
thanks

I'd choose.....
B) paint the existing "s" grille slats...GLOSS black
because......
-The combo of the gloss black roof that you have and the painted slats will look extremely kool
-I haven't seen it b4 ...so it will be unique

Peace,
D

If you were a bit north, I would say Airport Road Auto Body in Hartford. They are by far, the best shop I've ever been to. They mostly work on BMWs, Jags and other $$$$ cars, you should see the job they did on my car, the paint is perfectly matched to the original and the panels are perfectly aligned, no sign that a raccoon was embedded in the grille a couple weeks ago.

Looks great! Especially with the black intercooler scoop. I'll have to give them a call. Not to far away.

Hehe...I was going to ask the same question about good shops in that area. I was pelted with an egg not too long ago resulting in thousands of chips to the primer. I still can't believe an egg did all that damage. But, I hope the BRG is not too tough.

Did they purchase the paint directly from BMW to match? How is that done anyway? I've heard that these metallic paints, esp. the BRG, can be difficult.

rrypma,
i don't know where they purchased the paint from (paint codes on the kar)
but the steel pipe dented and gouged the paint on the pass quarter panel and you can't tell it was ever there and they fixed the hood dent, as well
real nice work......i'm happy

Thanks, unfortunately in that accident the rear pass side got pretty scratched up, and they don't make them anymore. So hold on to yours like they're gold..
