Spray Paint Mods

So i was at Autozone today picking up some back to black for the mini and i walked down the paint aisle and got thinking. I just installed my driving lights and had the covers on them and i've been wanting to paint them white so i bought some paint.

I was wondering,

What type of cheap spray paint mods have you done to your mini?

Pics are always welcome =]

You have to take the toggle bank out and a small flat head screwdriver pops them right out. Easy to do and looks great too.

Pull really hard on them. They just pop in and out.

You just grab them with finger and thumb and give them a hard tug.

I made holes in a piece of cardboard spaced apart same distances as the ones in the toggle bank, inserted each of the separators into the cardboard so they all stood up. That made it easy to hold the cardboard in one hand and keep the can in an upright position to get a good mix of paint.

Paint the dash ! Down tubes come out easy too. But there is a thin mold line down the back. I would sand that off first to prevent drips.

Here is a how to for removal: http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...line_interrior

I took my whole dash off in about 10 minutes. But I would also use clear coat after paint dried for 24-48 hrs.

i tied fishing line around the part that goes in the wholes and hung them from a rod in my paint booth i ghetto rigged.

I was gonna vinyl the dash instead of paint it.

Any other parts on the interior or even exterior?

I painted my skid plate to match the top of the car. That way if I am ever upside-down in a ditch people will know who I am..

It's the B&M SSk - nice kit and my first mod. Orig I wanted what looked like the older White GT Ford *****, but found this one instead at the NAM marketplace. Nice thing about it, it has no chrome collar at the bottom of the Q ball - all components for attachment are internal.

I'll look around and see if I can find a distributor.
