So I've been working on my MC (not an S) and I'm really not a fan of the black side skirts, black arches, front and rear bumper. I was thinking about changing them up to the OEM Aero Kit. I know they come primed and my closest dealer (Brahman Motors) is try to rape me for $2,400 for all parts except the arches I believe. I know thay come with a white primer on them and the paint is seperate and is a 2 base paint (color/clear). The price is too much and might ask a prestige car body shop to buy and install this for me since thats too high.

Does any one know if the OEM MC (R56) Aero Kit comes with the arches? I want to do this and trying to find the best price available, including the 2 base paint too.

 

Man you think that is a lot?? Its not. I just went from the factory aero kit, the one with the painted arches to the JCW aero kit. I also had the CF bumper insert installed and went from painted arches to the matte black arches that everyone has on their MINI's. Price for parts with paint and labor was $3500. And I got a good deal.

You could always just have a body shop paint these parts to match your car's body color at a fraction of the cost.

I too don't like the look of the black arches, etc.

I don't have a price for you since I bought my Mini used already setup like this. But just wanted to throw out another option you have.

 

Both aero kits are offered for the MC. Check with your dealer for the cost. Unfortunately for our color none of the parts come prepainted from the factory. You can get the part #'s here.

Actually, this is the aero kit i want. Oxybluecoop do you know if the arches come with the Aero Kit? I see Mini Mania and OutMotoring selling the kits but i don't see the arches included and wanted to know if they are part of the kit. Thank you

Also that grill looks great. I think i'm going to get my self another one and get it painted same color too. Does anyone know if the grill comes primed as well and not chromed so I could get it painted too?

Just FYI Braman is the worst dealer in the area. They butchered my car sooooo bad when they had it.

I know a couple of good painters down here. I actually have a friend getting alot of bodywork done on his GTI right now and I might try his guy out next time.

I dunno if you've ever seen my car in person before but the guy who painted my front bumper is pretty reasonably priced and does good work. PM me if you want his number or something.
