Get a Sound from Muffler

How can i get a sound from my muffler without doing a whole new exhaust? can i get a muffler only and produce a sound? i want a sound that would sound natural coming out of the mini, not like a muscle car sound, more like a tuner sound i guess. i dont want it too loud like all these riced cars i hear. Please help

You can do what they call a 'one ball exhaust'. Go to a shop and have them get rid of the resonator and make a little piece of pipe that goes right to the muffler. It get a bit louder and pops more too. Look it up on youtube.

Dont rice out your MINI

Get a cat-back. Its worth the extra coin to not ruin your car.

Of course a catback will gain you more in power with larger pipes and flow design. But if you want some sound the one ball mod will get you a little more. Or you can just hack off both mufflers and weld on whatever brand you choose. If you going to go that way you'll find you may spend as much as the cheap catbacks. We carry several catbacks starting as cheap as $340

suggestion

I think is a really good option get a cat back from waymotors, personal experience I try to create one but muffler shop cost is really expensive since is not easy work in mini's at the end the cost is the same amount of money!!!

Most Custom muffler shops can do a one ball mod for about $50-100. If hung right..it should not rattle. If you want to be sure it does not rattle, any MINI centric repair shop that can weld a bit should be able to hook you up, and they should know the tricks of how to adjust the hangers so it will hang right.
Not much more performance from what people tell me, just lighter, and louder....and it sounds a bit too tinny IMO. It is cheap...but a performance exhaust will get you lots more power, and MPG, and a better sound.

Hmm... Does it say Borla on the tips too? If so, you probably have the Borla street exhaust already. If you want to go up in volume from there... the Alta is a bit louder and also lighter because it's single sided.
