Help with Stripes please

Hey fellow MINI owners! I recently bought a 2006 Space Blue MCS and was interested in putting some stripes on it (Bonnet & Boot). I looked at several websites and have a hard time justifying spending almost $100 for about $5 worth of white vinyl. Does anyone have the artwork files for the stripes they might be willing to share? I have access to a graphics & sign shop where I could purchase and cut the vinyl.

Thanks in advance!

I got mine from Cooper Flags for 45. Most good places are around that cheap. I think MightyStripes is another good place.

You didn't mention what stripes you wanted. I don't know about 'Bonnet Stripes', but 'Sport Stripes' are just 5" wide x2 with 1" spacing. No artwork necessary.

Then again, if you buy the factory Sport Stripes, they have the spaces for the MINI emblems pre-cut...

I've already looked at Cooper Flags (actually, I ordered some badges from them), but yes, they want $45 for the bonnet stripes, $40 for the boot stripes and $13 for shipping. that's $98 to cut & ship about $5 worth of vinyl. that's crazy. I've also looked at about 4 other websites and they are all about the same price. I could justify paying $20-40 (for both front & back), but not $100.

Sorry about not mentioning the types of stripes.. I just wanted the standard ones. I do like the ones with same color pinstripes though. I'm going to try and attach pictures from Cooper Flags' website of the ones I like.

With all the stripes out there now, there's really not a standard width. Anything from 4'' up to 8'' Viper type stripes. Just decide how wide you want yours ( measure someone else's, or go by a dealership ) and cut your on since you can. Add a pin stripe on one side or the other if you want to, maybe even both sides, and could even be of a different color.. try something alittle different and if you don't like it down the road just redo them. Like you said it's not much money if you can cut your own.. I do all mine and some local club members, some of which change theirs all the time..

OK, so maybe i'm mistaken here, but the stripes are a straight cut? I would have assumed there was some "curving" in the cut of the stripe to account for the curve of the hood. can anyone verify this?

Thanks again!

Maybe this is why they want $45 for, as you say, $5 worth of vinyl.

Depends on the look your going after. The pics above are straight cut.. Some places may cut them with a little bend in it but, if your doing the angle ones on the bonnet ( what most people call "standard" ) as you bend around the front edge of the bonnet ( close to the grille ) it will look as if there is alittle bend in it when finished most likely..
