There are kits available from many sources specifically for your MINI.

I purchased from fastmini.net. They carry many different kits and colors. Here is a link to their led lights web page

http://www.fastmini.net/ledinli.html

Also check out this thread for logt so great pictures of the LED lights in the MINI.

I have the Blue in my Clubman and it really makes a statement.

I also added some extra mood lights in the cup holders and dash air vents.

http://www.autolumination.com/ is another place to get LEDS. I bought a bunch for my old car. Some of them I can use for my Mini. They ship fast and have a reasonable price.

Fastmini.net has a much better price than autolumination.

9 bulb kit (9 - 194's and a panel for the dome light) from fatsmini is 69.00 plus shipping.

8 * 8.99 = 71.92 plus shipping and I can not find a panel on autoillumination to fit the mini dome light. So less bulbs for more money and then I can't get the one that really matters. Not such a good deal in my view.

I purchased the blue LED set from fastmini. Definitely looks cool in my Laser Blue MCS. One thing to think about is that they really aren't as bright as the stock lights (unless you get the white LEDs I hear). You can read a map with the map lights, but it's a little bit difficult. And the overhead LED cluster just makes the whole interior glow blue. Their kits allow you to mix and match the LED colors, you just need to specify which LEDs you want colored and which ones you want white.

Yeah, if you bought the ones from fastmini, they don't come with instructions. But if you look closely at the bulbs, you will see that some are designed to give out a broad pattern of light while some bulbs are directional. You will want the directional ones in the overhead spots by the windshield so you get light concentrated in one direction. Other locations like the puddle lights in the doors should use the bulbs that spread the light out. If you put a couple in, you will see the difference. Also, fastmini is a vendor here on NAM. You can send them a message and they will respond back and help you out.

If you give them at call at Mach V (fast mini.net), they will probably send you directions for the kit. The round light with connectors at each end is the festoon bulb and it goes into the glove box.

Hi,

cncveay is right, the festoon (hot-dog shaped) bulb is for the glove box.

We DO actually include instructions with the kits. If you didn't get them, give us a call or pm me your email address.
