...since my initial post/question about swapping halogen for xenon lights I've found that it's not an easy task. In addition to the Xenon housing, the Xenon bulbs you also have to purchase a "control unit" -which runs about $450. Parts alone are around $1,300 +/- for the complete Xenon setup. then there is the question of actually getting the control unit to work w/ your non xenon made car -not sure if that is an easy task or not.

-SO- ..I chose to do a Joey mod on my halogens and actually LOVE them darker and joey modded ...i am now happy and don't care to swap for the xenons.

Although if I were to do it all over again i would definitely purchase xenons from the factory (as at the time it was only a $500 upgrade).

Any pics of the halogen joey mod? I was thinking of doing the same thing (until I get the time/money/patience to swap out with some Camden lights)

Jckonrad,
do a search there are many examples of Halogen Joey mod's on our R56's.
But, here is a very valuable thread I suggest you read before you attempt a Joey mod on Halogen lights. (I had only read instructions for Xenon Joey mods before doing my Halogen and ran into some serious problems). -If you are aware of the issues you'll be in good shape. (The reflective portion of our Halogen lights is very very fragile stuff ...those with Xenons don't have this reflective material).
here is the thread:

..check out my gallery too, as I have some photos of the completed set.
-oh and PM me if you have questions when you do yours. It is worth it in my opinion. -just have to be aware of what can go wrong.

Is it possible for someone that can purchase the black xenon housings in the country that has them available and do a transaction in the marketplace.

Also, anyone know of someone who does own a wc-50 or camden and can just let us borrow the chassis code to use with the uk website that sells these headlights.
