Does anybody know how to remove to tubes on the center console?. I wanted to remove the radio today but somehow I couldn't figure out how to remove them after I removed the 2 screws holding them on the side. The gear console seems to be on the way, and it didn't want to come off either, after removing the 2 screws in the ashtray and soda holders, it seems to be held around the little panel with the mirror control switch...what Am I missing?..........Please help me....someone please...Thank you guys for your help....

I think i remember someone asking this in the Audio forum ...
... and i recall that aftre removing the screws, you could raise the tubes up (out of the bottom 'sockets') and then swing away from there ...

For what it's worth, I've used both methods for removing the downtubes and popping out the bottom of the center facia above the stereo is the easiest by far.

You just have to suppress your gasp when you pop it out for the first time.
