DRESSING UP MY ENGINE

I am considering adding some billet/chrome covers in my engine, i.e. oil cap, intercooler cover, brake fluid, windshield reservoir caps... Has anyone either done this or seen it done and are there any pics available, or thoughts on yes or no??

I've got a few bling items installed under the bonnet, but no pix. I think they add a nice touch, as long as you don't overdo it. Obviously, there's no functional improvement here, but it looks like you've already covered that aspect with your pulley, injectors, intake, etc.

IMO, it's a waste of money.

Too cramp! You will not appreciate any lipsticks you put on.
Here is my dirty engine bay. I steam cleaned it (no picture after cleaning).
It's night and day after cleaning --- like new.

I think the best way to dress up.

Just a little paint and a good cleaning makes a lot of difference.

I really wanted a different look. I went in and replaced the black plastic pieces with aluminum dividers I made and just generally tried to do things differently. I used a generic OCC and mounted it horizontally in place of the hood latch. I also made aluminum plates to go on the piece between the bumper and wheel well splash guard. With out the money (and really without the desire) to powder coat/paint components, it seemed like a unique approach.
