Hurst-style ball shifter?

I really like the look of the ***** I've attached below. I know Hurst makes them, but not in the right shift pattern it seems. Does anyone know who has a **** like that, threaded in 12x1.25 for the Alta shifter? I know Doug Whalen could probably make one out of delrin, or perhaps a cue ball, but I'm afraid I can't afford that sort of fine craftsmanship.

I would check with Doug to be honest. His delrin stuff is more reasonably priced, and with your setup you wouldn't be paying for the trademark Whalen locking mechanism. It couldn't hurt..

That's true. I actually won't even mind if I got a ball made and drilled, and then I could adapt a thread or a OEM **** "snap in" style adapter myself. I'll ask him!

i used to run a RAZO ball shifter on my alta SSK:

if you have access to a tuner shop there are more options and other generic style ***** that will work with the alta shifter and some do not have graphics engraved into them.

the razo comes with a few nylon sleeves that allow you to screw the **** onto the shaft. be sure to screw in the nylon sleeve with the accompanying **** so it doesnt slide off. my **** never came off once in the 2 years i ran that thing. it was only $30 and it was weighted like the waylen. in fact it's heavier than the waylen. shifting was a breeze.

I looked into the Hurst shift ball for my Alta SSK for a while, but couldnt really find anything. I really wanted a black delrin shift **** to replace the all aluminum **** alta **** (it was always too cold or too hot) and could only find white ones that matched the tread pitch. I ended up going with a COBB tuning delrin shift **** made for a Subaru STi lol. Its doesnt really look pretty, but it works

Iv got pictures, ill put em up, and we use a set screw like alot of other aftermarket *****. I just need to know the diameter of your shifter so that we can make it accordingly, i have a r53 with a b&m so if its the same as that i know how to make it if thats what you have, if you also have a preference on how high or low you want the **** to sit.

ill get some pictures and post them

When you drill into a cue ball it has powder almost like drilling into concrete. You can Wiki it for what its actually made of. The real nice pool ***** are made with granite.

Here are the pictures of the one we made. The ball was chipped and scratched up from my little brother hitting it off the pool table haha.

If you're interested PM MerchoMini or me.
