Carbon Fiber Overlay

Carbon Fiber 2x2 weave Overlay for the Roof and Rear Quarter Panels.. Hood, Hatch and Fenders are all CF overlayed Fiberglass (replacement panels) This is the process as of now. Tomorrow will be putting the finishing touches on the resin and then clear coating.

That looks to be quite the undertaking. Will you do the doors next? It might look silly with only splashes of silver between all the carbon fiber.

To be honest, haven't gotten that far..
The door are already made by ViS however expensive
Ive been able to keep the price of this install VERY cheap by doing it myself.

As for the 'splashes of silver' This is obviously not going to be a 'stock looking' car. Each piece is done as Ive progressed with the car and there is no way, just like the chrome, I will ever want to remove all the silver off the car..
How it'll look will be only in the eye of the beholder, and to me, I see all the blood, sweat and tears in each and every part.

Yeah, I dont think there are going to be any scraps nearly that big.. this stuff is black gold.

here are some update pictures.. sanding the final coat of clear tomorrow and should be putting it all back together again..
