As I anxiously await for my 04 MCS arrival in Dec., I've began ordering accessories for it. :smile:

After doing some research on this forum, I've taken the recommendations and purchased H7 Philip Silver Vision from powerbulbs.com. Since my MCS will have Xenon, I would like to match all the lights. Here are my questions:

1. Where can I get 4000k H11 bulbs for the fog light?
2. How many bulbs are in the bumper light above the fog light? What are their functions?
3. Like many others, I don't want to have yellow appearance on the light (when off). What bulbs do I need?
4. I'll be getting the white taillamps, do they come with bulbs?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated! :smile:

 

1. The only aftermarket H11 bulb that I have found is the Philips Long Life. I'd like to get something like the Blue Vision or the Vision Plus, but those bulb types aren't available.

2. There are two bulbs. One is the turnsignal indicator and the other is a clear wedge bulb that comes on with the park lights and with the headlights.

3. I'm not sure.

4. Yes, the white taillamps come with bulbs. They also come with thier own unique circuitboard. I believe in the case of the clear lamps, the bulbs are actually soldered into place on that board (or so I've heard).

i want to get the H7's for the hibeams myself as i have the xenon headlights and
changed the marker bulb to a blue/white hue. now when the Daytime running lights are on during dusk, the color is too yellow with the markers.

how long do you think the phillips H7's would last if used as Daytime running lights?
