'09 Clubman footwell modification...

I guess I have big feet so my shoes scuff the console plastic near the accelerator pedal fairly badly. So this is my remedy...

I bought a 5" x 12" piece of light gauge stainless steel from a junkyard for $0.25 and four #6-32 stainless steel button head screws and nuts at True Value Hardware store for $0.40. While watching a football game on television this afternoon I traced out a pattern on the stainless steel and cut it out using a hand nibbler so the edges wouldn't get distorted. The plastic is fairly flat in this area so the stainless didn't "warp" the plastic.
