If you properly heated the tape, none should be left on the car. For any residue left after debadging, I spray a little WD-40 on a rag and gently rub until all is clean. Then I rinse the area with water and apply a good wax for the final step.

Well in the daytime here it warms up to about 25, so If I warm it in the garage with a blow dryer or get a heater blowing on it, do you think I could get it warm enough?
thanks for your help.

in my experience (with other cars, havent debadged my mini yet) no matter how much you heat it, residue always remains. I usually use goo-gone, and it does the job.

my boot badge popped right off with almost no heating or prep. a wash and wax now you cant tell anything was ever there.

a quick note on goo-gone....i used some on my clear bra and it def left some noticeable discoloration. the spot i treated now looks "foggy".

aztec - they are def "bolted" onto the car. Aestetic creations sells "covers" for the boot and bonnet MINI logos. They are easy to apply and look great.

So I already know that their are holes in the emblems since I took the front one off and plasti-dipped it, but is the Cooper S Logo just placed on with adhesive? So many people have interjected with different things about debading and I believe someone said that the Logo on the back does not have any holes, just wanted to clarify.

Also could I get step by step instructions are getting the Cooper S removed? I bought adhesive remover from Griots Garage when I was trying to removed the rear emblem and failed and then decided to get Aesthetic Creations Black Covers. I read someones DIY about removing badges from a car and he did a BMW and in this DIY it said to get the adhesive remover from Griots Garage. If anyone has instructions great or if any one could post a link to the DIY that would be cool too.

Thanks in advance.

The cooper badges are just glued on. I used a hair dryer to heat each letter one at a time and then slid a piece of fishing line behind the letter once the glue was loosened. Then clean off any residue left behind. Took 10 minutes, max.

Dental floss works just as well. Just make sure the tape under the letters is warmed up well.

I always de-badge my cars. On my R55 it only took some dental floss and peeling some of the excess stickers with my fingers. The rear badges on the Clubman have no holes, but the front do. I removed the front badge, painted it and re-applied it with double-sided tape.
