Don't screw it up for yourself by marrying someone who isn't willing to discuss things with you and who puts their foot down over the things you want to do with YOUR car that you will be driving. A man who truly loves you and respects you will be open-minded and willing to do the things you want even if he doesn't like them, and you won't have to manipulate him to get those things.

All you will have to do, is ask.

This isn't a car question at all.
Wow... really? What's up "over thinker"?

Nope, not an over thinker.

I'm just a thinker.

And yeah, really.

If he's not willing to compromise on her car, he's Mr. Wrong, period.

Is it possible he said "No way" like one would say it if asked a question about their opinion? Like "Do you think this would look good?" answer.. "No Way"

You jumped right to - he is putting foot down telling her "No way you are taking those badges off. I'm the man and you will listen to me woman"

It seems she is looking for peoples opinions to offset his opinions, not looking to override his DECISION.

I think you're jumping to conclusions.

If he hadn't put his foot down, she would not be here looking for ways to "offset his opinions." I know what this is about, and ironically enough... so do you.

There's another phrase that translates to "offsetting his opinions." it's called "looking for ammo."

She is looking for justification for her choice. She is looking for other people to tell her she is right and he is wrong.

She needs to be discussing it with him. If she really cared about what people thought, she would have just read one of the 50 other threads about debadging on this forum, don't you think?

LOL! Sorry folks. I get seriously tired of seeing people do this to themselves. I guess I could have just not bothered to post in this thread at all and should have.

I just read your blog... I got it. I'll wait to see what the OP says. No point in debating you on this.

I know... I guess you didn't catch my sarcasm.

It's all good.

Oh and BTW... for OP... Debadge!

Unless your man doesn't want you to. You should also make him a sandwich and be sure the house is clean when he gets home.

(just jokes folks... just jokes)

Mine is, I think Lagston's is the same way.

It's wrapped in vinyl so it hides the holes. It's just easier (and cleaner) to leave them off.

Ditto that!

I like the look. I think other suspension mods would come first, but, really nice looking mod.

Looked at the CooperS logo and thought to myself "All the letters are individually attached? Hmmm. I could rearrange them."

I think I may change mine to "OOPS"

Heres the deal. I am not going to get inbetween you and your fiance`. I could careless if you debadge it or not, its your car. But if you are going to debadge it it is all or nothing. That means every emblem on that car needs to go, (both MINI emblems, the Cooper S, JCW if you have it, and the side scuttles S) a true debadge will have no badges what so ever. But that is my opinion and you are going to do what you are going to do. Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't think that's necessary at all. Just leaving the MINI emblem still allows the car to retain symmetry without clutter. It's still a very clean look IMO.

I just put boot stripes on and decided to take the "Cooper" off and leave the S. Not sure yet, but I think I like it. Cow-workers dig it. I'll give a little time and see what I think.

I need to let some time go by before I make any more exterior changes.

This is a no brainer...if you debadged the 328i then obviously you like the clean look or else you were trying to pose as a 335i to folks who don't know the difference. With the MCS, there's no reason to pose, so if you like the clean look of debadging, just do it.

FWIW: I've been debadging all my cars since 1994 and both our 328i's are debadged!
