I like the shelf but can already hear the items sliding back and forth on it. Let us know how functional it ends up being.

Gas pedals look great!

with the rubber mat that lays down I did not have anything sliding, things stay
in place so far, cell phone etc... so far seems to do what I want. I'll keep
ya posted if I notice any issues, leg room seems to have improved, my knees
are not taking a beating anymore.

I agree with Darxar. The parcel shelf is very easy to install. With the rubber mat, nothing slides around. It has a very high coefficient of friction for all you Physicists out there. It also frees up a ton of leg room. There are also some very interesting things you can do with the shelf. Right now, I have installed the Aux cable to the interior of the shelf so that it is out of the way, but accessible. I am also thinking about modifying the switch plate to accommodate one of two items that I am thinking of installing.

Being a music fiend, the first thing I noticed about the parcel shelf was that I could cram at least a dozen CD jewel cases down there, and they fit very nicely. Only problem is, even a moderately spirited launch from a stop causes all of them except the bottom one to slide off and crash down into the footwell, a difficult situation to ignore for long enough to get off the toad and remedy it safely. Perhaps it says something about my intelligence that this happens to me with some regularity ("Oh, I won't be launching myself from any stoplights TODAY...&quot.

That said, I love it. It does open up a huge amount of knee room, and many objects fit down there very nicely. A spindle of 50 CDs pretty much stays put.
