Thanks! I get proud of my creations. The initial design was nice because the toggle switches resembled the toggle bank above. However, the scangauge is flush mounted by a piece of 90 degree aluminum that attaches where the indicator lights I'd planned to include were to go. After I two other panels made two other panels in an attempt to make it all work, I decided to dump that part of the plan. I was so conscious about turning off the radio switch that I often neglected to even look at the other switches. After leaving my light bar on three times and completely killing my battery, I decided I had to find a middle ground. Then when the power supply wire came loose and I no longer had a radio, I had to act. The wiring harness had to be addressesed, and the solution is an incredible improvement, but took some serious time to setup the pin clips. The switches were chosen because those were the only ones radio shack had 5 of. All in all I really like this version more, but one switch has a non-functional light which will have to be addressed soon.

Yeah, I put a lot of consideration into it all but never really came up with anything that I really thought would look better than just covering them up. As for the gauge idea, well I moved the head unit into the glove box and built another panel for up there.

Max did you paint or put vinyl on your down tubes? And if its vinyl where did you order it?

 

Its engine enamel. The stuff is practically armor. I sprayed multiple layers of primer, sanding smooth between coats. Then a couple coats of like Ford Mustang red and sanded smooth. Next were multiple coats of red and, because of the location, like 8 coats of clear coat.
