Yeah, not sure I dig the body kit on that car, but the doors are pretty sweet!

The CD I got in the mail just basically explains how to do it for any car. Explains how to do it pretyt well, but it is a mod that a body shop would have to do...

I LOVE it and if I can afford it will put them on my mini. I would love to turn a mini into a mini lamborghini style if I could

there is a company in the uk that make a kit specially for the mini as the door hinges have to be grinded off as they are welded on.... the site has detailed pics and good write up but is by no means a DIY job its defiantly a bodyshop job.

i warn you now some of the cars are terrible!!! they put the mini to shame!!!!

What do you think about suicide doors instead of lamboghini doors. I am torn between the two are there any major boosts for either?

I've wanted to do this MOD for years, and now that my car's going out of warranty I think I might. The best ones I've heard about seem to be from "LSD Doors" - http://www.lsd-doors.de/de/

Apparantly, these openers are European crash rated to be as good or better than stock - safety is an issue for me. LSD openers open outwards traditionally far enough to get into the car, and ONLY THEN swing upwards - very important on our MINIs because of the roll-down windows that crack down when the door is first opened. they also mount to the stock mounting location and require only minor modifications to a small part of the inner wing and (IIRC) the relocation of a washer bottle or something. There is also a required lengthening of the door wiring loom to cover the longer opening throw (a harness extension is included with the kit).

Don't listen to the haters - any time you add anything that's not a genuine MINI accessory there are people that will flip out and start name-calling. The important thing is that YOU like it (and you'd better because re-selling a car with Lambo-style doors will likely be a challenge I'd think).

i love the idea of suicide doors the would look soo sick on any mini i remember a while back a guy on here did it to his mini mind you did cost a hell a lot and he said that getting in to the back of the mini was near to impossible just do a search and you should find it.

I think the cabrio especially looks fun with the LSD doors... Definitely striking.
