1) remove tail lights - it's a nut and a couple of clips, and a plug.
2) use a dremel tool with cutoff wheel and go completely around the light where the lens is glued onto the black body of the light
3) use a razor knife to clean up the melted plastic on both pieces
4) use painter's tape to mask off everything except the chrome you want to black-out
5) paint or plasti-dip (if you plasti-dip, you need to score around the edge of the chrome where it meets the tape after each coat - 3-4 medium wet coats 10 minutes apart). Allow to dry WELL.
6) remove tape
7) make sure you have no fingerprints or dust inside the lens
8) glue lens back in place using epoxy or black silicone. CAREFUL - don't get any adhesive on the lens!!!
9) reinstall and enjoy

just a few additions to directions above.

-cover lenses with tape before you start to prevent scratching or getting stray epoxy on them

- Use 5 Min. epoxy with the self mixxing needle to close them back up. You dont want to try to mix epoxy and smear it on, that aint gonna fly.

- when you have them back together go back around the seem with epoxy to make sure they are water tight.

Good tips... I did NOT cover my lenses first and wish I had...

And I did the mix and smear epoxy - worked OK, but the needle woulda been easier... especially after I dropped one of my lenses in the epoxy and took 2 hours to wetsand and polish it back out.
