Fog lights!!!

I just got a very low mileage 06 cooper s, loaded, loaded, loaded. It has front and rear fog lights. I cannot see the difference when they are switched on or off. Are they broken or is there some trick I am not aware of, please illuminate me[no pun intended].

I am not sure about the rears, but on my r50 you are right it just needs to be clicked to parking lamps.

you can also confirm that they are on by the wee tiny green light at the end of the toggle

honestly the factory stock fog lights dont go very far and you kinda have to look over your steering wheel to actually see the light on the ground.

I did, though, put H9 bulbs instead of the H11 bulbs after a bit of modding. As they are a bit brighter.

and yeah..when you use high beams the fog lights turn off

But we still like you.

As stated, you only need the parking lights on. And no, they're not very bright.

+1.

Setting it on parking lights should do the trick. Unless they changed something between 03 and 06.

Fun fact for you: In Australia the Mini's can have their parking lights, headlights, front fogs and high beams on all at the same time. Turning on the high beams does not turn off the fogs. After reading this thread I had to double check and sure enough.
