Looking for pics - 4 foglight setup

Pondering doing a 4-Foglight setup, and was hoping a few people could post their setup - especially if it's on the Dark Silver body.

Also - I have one empty switch spot on my '09 lower row between the passenger window and the lock switch and was wondering if you could purchase the stock switch for that spot and use it to trigger the fogs versus incorporating a switch elsewhere?

Supposedly, there isn't an actual real SWITCH in those locations, just the four or five toggle-bats that cause stuff to happen. There's a circuit-board behind the toggle-bats that the on-board-computer (OBC) has to be TOLD to monitor; when you move one of those toggle-bats, it causes a signal to be sent to the OBC; the OBC sees that and does what it's programmed to do (like "lower the passenger window").

Long story short: you can use the location IF you can find a REAL toggle-switch that looks the same AND fits there AND you can snake the wire up to there yourself ... but that sounds kinda complicated.

As basil49 states there is not a real switch there. The circuit board behind the toggles is connected directly to the computer and any cutting of the board to fit a regular switch in there will likely cause all the others not to work. These switches are just momentary contacts on a board that tell the computer what to do, and if you wanted to change the function of that switch you would have to hack the computer program and re designate the output to an output that does not exist on the computer.

Now that is not to say that i can not be done. That switch position is for the Rear Fog Light. If you do not want to eve utilize the rear fog light then it could be possible to order the parts to put that switch in place. I think the cost is about $125.00. Then remove the bulb from the rear fog light (they actually install one even if it is not an installed option) then tap the wire at the light housing or closer to the front of the vehicle and have that activate the relay that will light the 4 fog or driving lights.

Thanks guys, perhaps re-directing the wiring for the rear fogs is an option as I went without them on my package. I wonder if there is a schematic floating around of that pc board and where each lead exits.... : )
