R56 interior vinyl wraps?

So, part of the reason I didn't bother getting the interior panels of my R56 in something other than checkered silver is because I was thinking that the door panel pieces would come off, and subsequently I could sand and paint them the color of my choice. Well... they don't. So I'm wondering... has anyone done a vinyl wrap or anything for the door panels, or am I just stuck where I am?

PS - Yes, I know I can get a pro paint shop to paint it. I'm specifically asking about vinyl. Thanks in advance!

I thought the same when I ordered mine and ran into the same problem. I have been looking into a kit form this place http://www.wooddashexperts.com/2009-...ain-dash-kits/ but I have not pulled the trigger. I am hoping to find someone who has them to get some feed back. I don't think that it is actual vinyl but I think it could be easier to install and would look better.

Yeah, I've looked there. The pictures they have of the R53's are horrendous. And they have no pics of the R56 kits installed. I guess if worst comes to worse, then I could always just attempt a vinyl install myself.

if your talking about the parts that are on the door panel i believe Lyle from Vinyl Styles (yet again) pulled thru on this for Celia (wetceal) and wrapped them in Carbon Fibre. as i understand it, it was A LOT of work to get those peices off the door panels but the final product is well worth the work IMHO.

Wow, thanks for the responses!

I had checked Vinyl Styles before and didn't see anything for the door panels (which is the main concern), but I'll check again here in a minute.

I've never heard of Motoring Graphics before, but it looks to be the same problem. You can do the dash, but not the door panels. Could be wrong, but I'll do some more searching!

Thanks again folks!

Oh I misread what you meant, I thought you were talking the dash. As far as I know, the trim on the doors can't be removed to be wrapped, so someone would have to do it in person for you. Maybe check around your area for a local sign shop.

Otherwise, you could try buying some vinyl yourself and learning how to wrap it.

If I can't work it out with Lyle, I guess I'll have to that. Looks like the only other option.

Let me know what he says. If you're near me (moving from VA to SC sometime this year), I might be able to help some, but I'm just an amateur. Lyle is definitely the one to talk to.
