Ok, so for anyone thats taken any interior, or even some exterior bits off the MINI, I am almost 100% positive that you have broken at least one... I'm not really sure what they are called but they are the things that "snap" into place and hold the interior panels on. The MINI uses a few variations of them... and some of them are REALLY expensive... especially the ones that have the "nail" bit that forces the the thing to spread open....

anyway, my question is, does anyone know where you can order the various body clip things for cheap? Last time i went to the parts department... the clips were around $1.50 for 1!!! Granted it was one of those fancy ones but still!

Im almost scared to do more interior things because they are just so easy to break and decently expensive. So yeah, anyone know of a place we can buy them, possibly even in bulk?

 

I haven't look closely but I know that autozone stocks a ton of different plastic clips used in various cars. I saw many that looked very similar to the ones I've seen while tearing apart my interior or exterior. Might be worth stopping by and checking it out if there's one nearby.

Many seem to be about $0.30 to $0.60 but then you have to pay shipping on top of that so it would probably only be worth it if you buy in bulk.

My dealer only charged me $0.53 each for the clips that hold the door panels on. That was even cheaper than the local auto parts store.
