Our dealer (also Classic Mini) ball parked it at $250 (including parts and labor). Not sure if zug4zag's price was just install or parts and install. I thanked them for the information and will be ordering a set from one of the aftermarket suppliers and installing them myself in the spring.

I'm assuming this is an easy thing to install? Just had mine in the slush and snow for the first time and, man, was I kicking a trail up! I felt kinda bad, but luckily there weren't any other vehicles around me. I'm thinking mud flaps would be a good idea but would prefer to spend less rather than more.

Mud flap installation.

Yes, installation charges are $155, cost of mudflaps are $121 so a total of $276. Your call on wether you want to go OEM, aftermarket, dealer installation or DIY. Just ordered my BRG/S S Clubman on 11-24, already finished and awaiting transport, REALLY QUICK.

You'll still get some spray from the outer edge of the rim. the front flaps aren't wide enough to prevent splatter completely. I still have spray around where the door handle is all the way back to the gas cap area.

$70'ish from Morristown for both.
Fronts are easy, rears are trickier. Front driver side took me about 30 minutes to get right and the pass side took no more than 5 minutes after the experience w/ the drivers side. I haven't had time to jack up the car for the rears, so i can't comment on those.

Rears don't do much as far as protection goes-it just completes the look. I believe the installation is pretty easy. Doesn't outmotoring have the rear for $25 and rear for $40?

They are pretty easy to put on. I would give you a hand if we were a little closer to each other.

Appreciate that, FM!

I'm pretty mechanically inclined (my dad's a mechanic...kinda in my blood, I guess). But sometimes things can be a PITA, so I wanted to check.

i think the rears help with dust on the hatch area. i wont know til i get them on, but yeah, they to help with the look.

Not at all, from experience with m/f's on my Clubman. Dusty-boot mitigation needs an air deflector to send high-pressure, clean air across the hatch/boot area - haven't yet found anything for that, and no, the spoiler doesn't accomplish the task.

I thought the dirty rear is because the vehicle's aerodynamics causes an empty space(aka vacuum like space) directly behind the vehicle. This causes dust to get sucked into the vacuum and hence easily dirtying it. I don't think you can do anything that would help the issue other than redesigning the body.

As Stated there needs to be some sort of "air deflector" to force air down the back of the car. Many of the foreign SUV's do this to help keep the rear window clean

I ordered mine (front and back) from OutMotoring and my husband installed them. He did remove each wheel to do so.

Anyone care to post a pic of their installed mud flaps? I can only find up-close pics of the rears when doing a search. I would like to see them from a distance, from the front, side and the back. Thinking of getting them... Thanks!

I ordered them when I ordered my car. They aren't very obvious to see -- they don't stick out much.. here's a side look

$241.50 installed today at MINI of Peabody, plus an environmental charge from Mister Gore of $7.20.

They look great. I also got the bumper liner which sticks to the back bumper below the hatch. The mud flaps look less intrusive than I had feared. They really look like they belong...but perhaps that's because I have a black roof. If I had a white roof, extra black down low might look a little heavy. I'll post pix once the sun returns to this icy sector of the globe.

Black roofs make your car go faster. Get one if you don't have one.

For all of you thinking of buying the Mud Flaps: Right now, until the end of December, Flow Mini's Parts department (336-788-3333, then ask for parts -East Coast time, NC) is offering all accessories at a 25% discount (take the price listed when you build a Mini @MiniUSA, and take off 25%). They are not too big, shipping should not be prohibitive (ask them to print you a copy of the mounting instructions). Service charged me 1 hour labor (it takes 2, but then it is my 4th Mini). I did not check with them if they are interested in shipping all across the country. I hope they will, so you can save some $$$.

Fronts relatively easy - after I got the rivet out

Reviving an old thread as I recently got my '09 Clubman and decided the front mud flaps would be a good idea. My main problem with the install was on step number one: remove and discard the rivet on the bottom. It's plastic, but I couldn't get it out with a screwdriver pop. I ended up jacking up the front and using the claw of a hammer to break it and pry it out. After that, I found the factory instructions pretty good. I did drill a small starter hole for each of the self tapping screws, which helped them through the soft wheel well material.

I think it was $180 Mini of Hawaii. You will not regret getting these. They do work and to me they make the car look a lot better. It also in the rear makes it look wider. It gives it an almost rally look.
