mrkaplan,

Along the top edge of the grille where it meets the body, there are four plastic pins holding the grille. Those just need to be pulled out. Use something thin to get them started, then they should just pull right out. Think of a screw with an anchor in a wall and you'll have the concept - but they just pull out/push in.

Along the bottom edge of the grille, there are four tabs that are inserted into slots on the bumper. These are on the back side of the grille. You'll have to pull the grille forward slightly to see/access them, but there is enough flex in the grille. The tabs are made so that they go through the slot and then on the back side of the slot (closest to the rest of the Mini) they spread back open. Think of a buckle on a helmet where you squeeze the tabs together to pull it apart from the other half. So, you have to reach those tabs and squeeze them so you can then pull it back out through the slot. iirc, they really only need to be squeezed on one side. I use a long screwdriver to reach in there and apply the pressure while pulling the grille out with my other hand. Others may have some other suggestions.

HTH!

Great instructions, I only have one thing to add.
When removing the grille completely, be sure to be VERY CAREFUL with the flexing lower tabs. Given enough force, they will brake easily. I broke one when taking out my grille, so be careful. If you do though, its not a huge deal, just saying.... Good luck!
