hi there,

I am wondering about the price for OEM r56 sport spoiler, the one that comes with mini cooper S.

And is it able to fit onto a non-s cooper? anyone has the instructions?

Thanks~!!

Yes a r56 S spoiler will fit on a non S. Not sure about price as I got mine for another member here that replaced their stock S spoiler with the JCW spoiler.

It is a very easy install. Start by poping off the 5 little plastic plugs on the underside of the spoiler to expose the 5 nuts that you remove. Pop off the stock spoiler, put on the S spoiler and put the nuts back on the bolts. Took about 5 minutes.

Anyone know how easily this could be done to a R56 Cooper with NO factory spoiler? Would it require drilling?

Answer:)

I am 99.99999999% certain that the holes for all three (?) R56 non-JCW OE "spoilers" (non-, base, "S") are identical and a therefore a straight, easy swap.

The only tiny problem I ran into was a lost nut that got stuck and then slipped free into the netherworld of the rear hatch - never to be heard of again.

I swapped my "S" for a "Base" spoiler.

I would love to downgrade further and swap my "Base" for a "non-spoiler" but I have never actually seen one in the "flesh" - only in MINI promo literature.

Not sure about the JCW OE spoliers but assume (99.99999998%) sure they would use the same holes (otherwise MINI would be idiots).

hmmm, sounds pretty hopeful! Now all I need is a White 'S' Spoiler to come up on the marketplace! (o, and my R56 )
