You can either glue it (I believe that's how the dealer would do it), but I didn't like that idea. So, I just wrapped the metal handle with some electrical tape to provide the necessary grip. It took a few tries to get the exact thickness right, and my ebrake handle is not totally rigidly fixed on. I can rotate the handle if I try hard enough, but I think it's fine.

Thanks. I sorta figured it out. That silver cap near the button does NOT just 'gently jiggle' off as has been described. Levered with a screw driver and ended up breaking the tabs that hold it on. All done now. Irksome that the JCW handle does not 'lock' on. Used the electrical tape method, but if it ends up rotating and coming loose, I may have to hunker down and create a set screw.
