You can either glue it (I believe that's how the dealer would do it), but I didn't like that idea. So, I just wrapped the metal handle with some electrical tape to provide the necessary grip. It took a few tries to get the exact thickness right, and my ebrake handle is not totally rigidly fixed on. I can rotate the handle if I try hard enough, but I think it's fine.

I used silicone adhesive. The handle gives a little, but can be removed easily enough if necessary.

The standards seem to be to glue it, and a lot of people use tape and friction to hold it. I used set screws to keep my e-brake secure... if you're interested, I wrote down the process. Good luck!

Can anyone elaborate on the clips used to hold the original handle on the lever? I can't for the life of me remove the OEM handle.

Thanks. I sorta figured it out. That silver cap near the button does NOT just 'gently jiggle' off as has been described. Levered with a screw driver and ended up breaking the tabs that hold it on. All done now. Irksome that the JCW handle does not 'lock' on. Used the electrical tape method, but if it ends up rotating and coming loose, I may have to hunker down and create a set screw.

The alcantara boot got a loose at the front end. Will have to find some Krazy Glue and redo it.
