ok so I am going to throw this question out there...
See the black trim around the fog lights on the aero bumper.
Does anyone know if they make a chrome insert that fits in the area. I ordered the decals that fit there and don't like the way they look. I was hoping someone out there may have run across the item I am looking for .

I've seen them in white(actually had them on mine at one time) and black but not chrome.A/C or Vinyl Styles could possibly make you some out of chrome vinyl material if that would work for you.

I was not thrilled with the stickers, the one side tore as I was putting it on.
Are the inserts your referring to stickers or hard plastic ?

Yes, you are correct,stickers and they are at least in my case a PITA to install,and easy to tear.There is however some heavy,not sure of MIL thickness, vinyl out there that could be used for this.I would think that either A/C or Lyle @Vinyl Styles would be able to help even though maybe costly if a one off deal.Even if you had one of the A/C stickers,you possibly take it to a graffics/vinyl decal/sign shop and have them duplicate it in heavier materal.Does that sound like a feesible idea?

 

You can get an OEM part from MINI made of hard plastic that is adhesive backed and fits perfectly around the fogs (as seen in your pic above). I think they are about $50 /pair. You could probably paint them any color you like or cover them with vinyl before installing.

I new MINI had chrome surrounds for fog lights.
I was not aware MINI had the same part for the Aero grill inserts.
I will check with them and let you all know.

 

MINI/BMW calls them "fog lamp covers" and the part no. for the aero bumper is 51110151570. Here's the only current pic I have of my car with the part installed. Hope this helps.
