Hmm, the cutoff appears to be roughly the same as my Euro-spec lights.

Let me see if I can snap a pic of the little cutoff adjustment lever real quick...

Edit: here they are.

Pic of the adjuster lever on the left-hand headlight:

And a pic of the lever on the right-side headlight (this one is a bit easier to see):

Basically, you just flip the lever to the position opposite of what's shown in the pics when you want to "flatten" the upward bend in the beam cutoff. This will allow you to drive your LHD MINI in areas like the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, etc. without blinding anyone. I'm not sure if US 05-06 Xenons have this lever...

they definately do not have the lever, the internals don't even look like that interestingly enough. The ones that I have, have some sort of red and black twist-off plastic backing to the light, rather than your silver (metal?) one...

Very interesting!

Any chance you could snap some pics of yours? I'm curious!

Hmm, that IS different. So the plastic backing isn't hiding a lever underneath? I didn't think our headlights would be quite this different.

Nope, it just twists off to expose the base of the bulb I do believe. I didn't see anything else behind there.
