i disagree...i have a hook up with a good body shop though but i disagree that it can cost that much. i know it CAN, but you can still get a NICE paint job for much less...

Its different, much like why we bought our coopers in the first place.

I wouldnt want it on my car but the right car and I'd be all for it.

Have you considered a "satin" finish as opposed to either flat or gloss? A lot of trim is done in satin. I think it looks really good.

Just a thought.

I think the black is awesome.

I want to get a paint job as well, I just uploaded a pic of my car. Its red as you can see. I know little about paint jobs, can I pick whatever color I want? I want a black or silver mini

changing colors is always harder becuase to do it right you have to paint under the hood and door jams or when you open the door people will see red lol

Sport Compact Car painted their Mini project car flat black years ago as well as ALL the chrome. Heres the article http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...r_s/index.html

I dont think they've done much with it since but its an interesting read and they got rid of the sun-roof...carbon fiber anyone?

after re-reading it it looks like the went flat metallic black with black chrome over the chrome bits. But all the photos look semi-gloss black so who knows, maybe the pics were taken pre paint?

why are changing your paint now? haha
it's already gloss black seems kind of pointless to re-paint your whole car unless it's dinged and trashed.

no, it has some dings from when my dad owned it and one from a few months ago that someone dinged when i was at a store or something, then i wanna paint my arches, etc, so im just getting the whole thing repainted, becuase MINI needs to learn how to properly paint a car without horrible orange peel in the clear coat....
