hella 500 lights?

lets see pics of MINI's with these lights. im thinkin about getting the[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][SIZE=2]Palo Uber bracket for pretty cheap.

some MINI's i think they look good on, and some i dont.

post a mixture of pics please.

also, my main concern is this- as im slowly blacking everythiing out, i dont want these to be the only thing not black on the car.. my headlights WONT be tinted, but Joey Modded. the blinkers/fogs in the bumper will be tinted though just to smoke them.

obviously the Hella's cant be Joey Modded since the light reflects off of the chrome housing inside.

any ideas? anyone have them blacked out? or any pics of them in general blacked out, even not on a MINI?

last but not least, i kind of want the light output to match the color of my Xenon's....any ideas on what to do here besides buying 2 pairs of HID bulbs to put in the Hella's? i want my fogs to be this color too.

basically i want my whole front end to match or at least be as close as possible to the brightness and color of my 2004 (old style) xenon's.

What about Hella Black Magic lights? They go completely black when switched off.

Do they make a pre cut lamin-x specifically for the hella 500s? I'd much rather run those becuase I did notice how expensive the black magics are...

The lamps looks awesome...after reading the previous posts I am interested in the Hella Black Magic lights and Tire Rack sells em' for $220 a set.
That doesen't seem too expensive???

Also the black look when powered down is pretty cool!

Let me know if anyone does purchase a set, I would be interested in their feedback.

2 hella 500's are $59, plus whatever the lamin-x costs, they should sell a kit!

Forget the light brackets....mount them directly to the grille!

Fastlane, I love your rims , what paint did you use? My other cars rims are painted black, but your shade (gloss level) is very nice.

where do you get them for 59 from?

also, with the Palo Uber bar...the lights themselves come with the harness, is that all i need? i dont need the switch that comes with the bar if you buy it new (im buying it used with 2 hella 500s) so i just need 2 more lights, and ill be fine with a simple toggle switch or something.

someone that knows how to wire these up, let me know.

i have the factory driving lights on my grille that im most likely going to remove, could i use that button that was for those lights, with the new hella's? (the button that is under my steering wheel)

My 500s...

Outsides are fog
Insides are driving lamps

I bought them from summit racing for $59 for the driving lamp, $80ish for the fogs
