How do you remove this??

Can anyone help me remove this trim piece? I'm trying to get it off so I can run speaker wires through the trim and under the seat. Here are some pictures of what i'm taking about:

Thanks!

Remove the rubber seal completely.

There will be several clips (7, I think!) that you will need to pop out.

However, since you are wanting to simply tuck the speaker wire into the space behind this piece, you should be able to use a flathead screwdriver wrapped in tape as a wedge to gently lift back the trim a small section at a time.

Removing the trim piece was easy, but getting it all back together was a pain!

I remove mine completely because I decided to change the color from gray to black as part of my interior makeover.

Alright, I'm looking at the diagram, but it doesn't say much...

Anyone have some experience removing this?

Edit: Is it possible to get under the carpet if I remove that piece? Also, thanks for the reply Uber!

I removed mine completely about a year ago. It's really not all that difficult to do. You just need to pull on it to get the plastic clips to come loose. As mentioned already It's a little more work to put it back together. I also found that I had to removed my seat belt bolt, it's a torx bolt, but I don't remember what size.

Its a T40 bolt. And as stated, all you have to do is pry it off. Hope this helps someone!!
