Vinyl Wrapping A-Pillars?

As I'm sure a lot of you experience, it's hard to keep the A-pillars clean and swirl-free. So I came up with the idea of wrapping them in vinyl to make them a flat-black, to almost match the wheel arch plastic. Anyone do this? Or know how to go about it?

Thanks!

i have not done this but having wrapped my headlights in vinyl myself... i think i can offer you some help...

as with all vinyl, you use the soap and water mixture... and in this case, a heat gun or blow dryer can reallly really help with curvy surfaces...

what i did with the headlight ring was to use paper towels to get the proper shape by tracing where i wanted to cover up and super imposing that shape onto the vinyl. its pretty forgiving material if you use lots of water/soap so dont be afraid to drench it!

the pillar would be super easu to wrap.. and you could probably do it easier without soap and water if you know what your doing. the problem when the flat vinyl is taht when you stretch it, it shows. so using a heat gun would be a bad idea. but yeah the pillars are pretty tame so you should be able to work the vinyl without it. but yeah, maybe do a test and see if the finish on the vinyl gets distorted.
but post some pics if it works out!

i would just put a sheet over the pillar, and wrap it.. and then trim off the excess. this way you dont have to worry about lining anything up and you can really go at it.
good luck!
