Removing Grill Trim

Does anyone have a walk through for how to remove the chrome grill trim and install the JCW black trim? I have an S with the standard body (no JCW kit).

Thanks!

just pull for the lower grill trim, its hel in by clips that snap into place.

the top trim has 2 or 3 screws and a bunch of clips. take a flat head screw driver and push the clips till they pop off (when you see the clips it will make sense)

its really easy...

It is rather easy to do. A pair of needlenose pliers will work well for releasing the clips.

I recently replaced the chrome trim moulding with black trim moulding around the grille of my '08 MCSa.The lower grille section is held in with I believe 4 clips, just pull out one side first then you can press in the other clips to completely remove it.The hood moulding is held on by 4 screws (2 outer,2 inner) and 6 clips.Use a needle nose pliers to release the clips.

It is fairly easy to do.

I thought I read that the rear JCW piece doesn't fit quite right without the JCW bodykit? From the posts above sounds like there is no issue?

I just tried to install the JCW grille on my R55S and it didn't fit, am i right in thinking that the regular (non S) cooper and the S have different size grilles? Did i buy the wrong grille (51 11 0 404 122)?

There's a little walkthrough with pictures and instruction here.

Very easy to do.
