Water/Meth: the not so hidden install!
Well I have been working on this thing for a LONG time now, and I finally got it to the point that I can take a picture and be proud. So here it is, This is my custom made (all by me) fiberglass sub and amp box. This was my first time trying to make a sub box that wasnt just a box. I used some cool tricks I leaned, and it came out pretty well. I painted the box myself, first time with a paint gun as well. it is color matched to my BRG car.
When it is installed the front of the box has the amp on it, and all the wires are inside and hidden. I just added the Water/Meth tank today and got it all wired up and ready to go into the car.
I used a old school Moon style gas tank from a dune buggy. (the only tank I could find that looked cool and was only a gallon) so here are a few pix. I will add more when i get the box in the car with the amp and subs.
P.S. I have 2 JL W3 8's with a JL 250x1 monoblock running them. I also have an alpine amp running my alpine type r's but its hiding under my passenger seat.

LOL, at least theres one.
Trust me when it gets the subs and amp, and into the car it really looks great! I have had this thing in my car for about two years now and it was very bland and just spray painted black, now it shines and fits great into my car.
I dont know if anyone has noticed, but this is a full rear seat delete mod and doesnt go into the boot. I cant wait to get it back into the car and take some real pix of it in action. (dyno posts will most likely bring some nah sayers back around!)

Thanks, so far it has been all of MY mods. I'm a OG mad modder. And have yet to get something done by a shop. (Besides my Exhaust) Right now I am having my head done by a fellow Namer, dont know if he wants his name out there so I will keep that to myself. I blew a NGK spark plug out of my stock head and am now having one built to better fit my mods!
It will be polished and ported, and port matched to my new header. I got a high flow cat and will be putting on the water meth kit, once it all gets on. I cant wait! I have been 3 weeks without a Mini and I can barely take it!
I have been trying to do my part and get all the parts needed to match my set up and cant take the wait. I have a RMW Cam with adjustable Cam gear on the way to install. And I am looking foward to putting in my Alta PW-1 system to keep the intake temps down. I have done a bunch of DIY stuff to do the same but I think W/M is a great way to get big HP without much $$$$
So Like I said, I will post some dyno graphs, with and without the W/M system to see how it really helps! But I have a lot of faith with the guy doing my head, and the others Modders making this build happen! Wish me Luck! (although I HOPE I dont need it!

If that tank is only a gallon, with the way you mounted it, it looks like you wouldn't be able to fill it completely up because the filler is in the middle of the tank. Are you going to tip the box back to completely fill the tank?

It is shaped to fit the back seat section. therefore the front of the box is MUCH lower then the back. so once it gets installed the tank will almost be flat. so, no I wont have to tip it. good eye though!
